Bataclan – Groundation’s Final Paris Show

It always felt like an honor to play Paris. We started at a funky, overheated box called Glaz’ Art. Standing in the grubby parking lot you could practically flick your cigarette into the slow lane of the Peripherique. The place closed down, but we traded up all the way to La Cigale, L’Olympia and Zenith. But my favorite venue was always Bataclan. Small, but not too small, with that lived in-look and smell of history that permeates old cities like Paris. And that’s where we played our final Paris show back in 2015. “Hold Your Head Up” made the set list, and my brass-brother Daniel Whitegold and I had a tasty little duel a minute or two from the end. Hope you enjoy. Vive Bataclan!
